Some of our favourite Baha'i-inspired kids series >
The Beacon story >

1. The first spark
Beacon came about because children and parents all over the world kept asking for Baha’i stories for kids. Whether it was for Feasts, Holy Days, schools, community events or just chilling at home, there was a real need for these stories, and for a team to produce and present them in one place online. And so a Baha'i streaming service for kids was born!
2. The first decision - Baha'i stories or Baha'i-inspired?
We decided our core creative drive was to make Baha'i stories for kids, because many of these stories have never been made for film or tv. There are plenty of amazing people out there creating Baha'i-inspired content but we wanted to show the stories of the Baha'i Faith over the last 180 years and beyond.
3. The first steps
In 2025, Beacon founder and filmmaker Sabour Bradley, met with Baha’i creatives from all over the world and soon there were suggestions for animations, tv series, films, video games, documentaries and more!

4. The first creatives
Renowned creatives like filmmaker Mary Darling, author Elaheh Bos, songwriter Robert Gillies and many more were excited to come on board, and four series and a video game went into development.

In January, 2026 the first shoot took place in Bergen, Norway, for a proof of concept called ‘The Rhythm Family’ featuring award-winning songwriter Robert Gillies, writer Rezal Gillies, director Susan Sheper, animators Oscar Gomez & Yoann Gregoire, actors Inika and Emma Skinner, education expert Miquela Skinner, and producer Sabour Bradley.
